House of Memories

Our brain, just like a computer, gets rid of old memories, visuals, and sounds in order to stay efficient – new neurons are continuously generated that overwrite the old ones. This project is a plan – a plan to “revise” the lived spaces of my childhood home so my brain does not forget these foundational spaces. These paintings are done in a two-and-a-half-inch circle that gives the illusion of looking through a telescope, evoking a sense of distance.
