My experience of being an outsider has led me to create another “internal identity” that is different from the one I know from back home in India. These differences become noticeably large when I travel back, and these two identities switch internally. This work is an embodiment of these two identities and the tension between them. It is a self-portrait of trying to strike a balance between these two identities.
